Emission factors of greenhouse gases from Australian rice systems
The project will develop methane and nitrous emissions information for sustainable rice production and provide growers with practices that can potentially reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Baseline datasets will be used to develop country-specific rice greenhouse gas emission factors for national greenhouse gas inventory reporting. The project will examine the carbon accounting trade off between methane and nitrous oxide emissions when drainage practices are employed.
